Wonderful Wednesday

Oops - yesterday was so terrific we forgot to share.

Yesterday we had new learning tubs where we matched dominos with the right number in domino parking lot and practiced copied the domino. While some of us practiced building numbers with green and blue blocks to help us with our number pairs - we had to build the number with two colours and then draw the blocks and write the number pairs. We also had a table where we used our different materials to try and build structures and some of us practiced writing.

Our job yesterday was to play More War with dominos with our friends - while we played this game Ms.Taylor helped us start a butterfly art project.

We also had gym with our friends in Mrs. Hughes class. We practiced our soccer dribbling skills through cones - tricky but very fun!

Today it was wonderful Wednesday!

We had morning tubs (same as yesterday) and a big writing job. We practiced our first, next, last and had a chance to show Ms. Taylor how we can connect our letter sounds to words. We chatted about how we make a jam sandwich and then had to try and write a sentence for each section. We did a pretty good job and showed lots of persistence in our learning.

This will be sent home with a rubric next week :)

We finished our day with music with Ms. Lysak and then Ms.Taylor read us a book about Imagining before it was home time.

Kind regards,
Ms.Taylor
