For morning meeting, Ms.Taylor did something a little different. A few of us have been asking to learn how to speak to one of our friends who speaks mostly Spanish this week. Ms. Taylor showed us a video where we learned some Spanish words. We really enjoyed it and tried our best to repeat some of the words. We learned colours, numbers, and a few things like pencil, pen, paper, house, door and window.
It was a great way for our friend to feel like the expect but also learn some more English as we tried to learn some Spanish.
Math
Today we did a multi-step math task that was a bit challenging. We were trying to practice our number pairs and make Splats! over dots. We had to count all the dots, draw a Splat over some of them and then write how many we covered. If possible, the next step was to write the number sentence. Whew, big job. We tried our best, and asked questions to make sure we were doing it right.
Enjoy the extra long weekend and we will see you all Tuesday!
