We also worked more with our Spat! game in our visual journal. We played with a friend to practice number pairs. We covered some of the dots and then asked 'how many hiding?' For example, if there were 10 dots to start and then we put the Splat down and there were 4 dots we could still see, that means there are 6 hiding because 6 and 4 make 10.
We also worked on learning some new words all about creating. We looked at groups of words and tried to figure which ones were certain words by the sounds. For example Ms. Taylor showed us a card with two words on it and asked which one is 'dots' we knew it was the top word because as Sadie said "'dots' starts with a /d/ so it has to be the one with the letter d at the beginning."
We also had gym today with our friends from Mrs.Hughes class, it was a busy but fun day!
PLEASE HELP: We are requesting paper towel rolls, gift wrap rolls, toilet paper rolls, cereal boxes or any cardboard recyclables that we can use for building something new. Thank you in advance for saving this and sending them with your child.
Please save the date: June 13th AM - Celebration of Learning during school hours. There will be a performance followed by an activity. Families are invited.
