Thumbs up Thursday

I think everyone would give today a thumbs up for sure.

We had a super fun day and we showed Ms. Taylor some very good kindergarten superstar behavior! Way to go kindergarten!

We started our day with a morning meeting to discuss our day and some other important things. We found out we were going to look at our kindergarten tree before spring is over and we were going to the park - Ms. Taylor said it was for research...

We started by walking to our kindergarten tree to see what it looks like now and how it has changed since winter. We went with Mrs. Hughes class to visit our tree, we all used our eyes and not our hands to observe our tree in the spring.

Ryleigh 'It has little green leaves now'
Bennett "It has been growing"

We all took a really good look and then had our picture taken with our tree to remember!

After all our observing of our kindergarten tree we were off to the park for some research!

We had so much fun playing...I mean researching!

Our job today was to talk about our favourite playground equipment and what we saw and the park and to paint our spring tree!

Ms. Taylor had us use something very different for painting, first she asked us what we could use if we didnt have paint brushes, or what people would have used before paint brushes were invented.

Winston 'Our hands"
Eldana "Fingers."
Ronan 'Sticks all together"

Our 'paint brushes' for today!

We used sticks and pine cones to paint our spring trees. It was tricky but lots of fun!

Ms. Taylor also gave us a little bit of homework for the weekend, we are suppose to think about our dream playground and what it would have and look like.

*Parent reminders*
* We would love one more volunteer for next week on May 29 to help with a project. Please let me know if you are able to come in. Volunteers must have CBE security clearance. Thank you in advance*

*We are so thankful for all the cardboard and tubes coming in and are still collecting for a big kindergarten-wide project coming up*
