Our job today was to use our imagination! We read 'Not a Stick' by Antoinette Portis. Before we read the story, we brainstormed ideas on what we could turn sticks into if we used our imagination.
We had lots of ideas...
-paint brush
-branch
-wand
-lever
-arrow
-broom
-pencil
Ms. Taylor then read us the book and then we had our turn to glue a stick down and turn it into something else.
We also practiced some writing as well by filling in the sentence starter.."This is a _______"
We had gym, followed by snack and centers. Some of us practiced building and using our imaginations to build towers, castles, and habitats with blocks, lego, big blocks, and animals.
