Terrific Tuesday

Today we began our day with a math pattern on the board. Mrs. Patten asked us what we noticed about a number of different arrangements on the number 4. We talked about the different ways you can make 4 with 2 colours of counters and how we know if we have found all the combinations. We then tried this activity out ourselves with the number 2. Ask me about the ways I could make 2 with red and white counters.

Today we found out about the final piece of criteria that we needed to help us decide on a classroom pet. We learned that the CBE has rules for pets in schools. We had a large group discussion about these rules and talked about how the rules for the school are different then the rules for pets at home. We worked in our expert groups to decide on a large chart of criteria for the pets. We are getting closer to narrowing down a pet for our classroom.

We had a field trip for snack, P.E. and then story practice today.

Community Walk
AM kindergarten will be going on a community walk on Thursday, March 14th.  Please dress appropriately with mittens, toques and snowpants.

Reminders:
Tomorrow is our big event! Reminder that the doors open at 6:00pm and you will drop your kindergarten student off in the Learning Commons.  Students are encouraged to dress nicely for the event.

Please note: For family members and friends who are not able to attend the Celebration of Learning due to scheduling conflicts or limitations of tickets available, we are opening up our Wednesday, March 13th dress rehearsal for guests. Our Wednesday night performers will be rehearsing at 9:30am on Wednesday.
