Wonderful Wednesday
Today we had such a busy day with Mr. Stockton, music and P.E. In each we have been working on our performance skills of storytelling, drumming and skipping.
When Mr. Stockton came to our class, we got to think about what our kindergarten story might start to look like. To get us started, we shared some our own worst pet ideas.
Porcupines because he pop things with his quills- Eldana
Skunks because they stink- Jemika
Blue whales because they take up the whole room- Owin
Dogs because they have sharp teeth- Lucien
Tiger/Cheetah because they could hurt us and run around the class- Karis
In between each of these activities, Mrs. Patten read us a story called, Too Many Moose. It was a book full of Mm words where the main character Martha gets herself in a bit of trouble with her pet. Ask me about what happened in the story.
How to extend your child's learning at home:
-As you read stories together with your child, ask them WHO the characters are in the story and WHAT they do. We have been talking about the parts of a story as a class.
Reminders:
We will be taking Jump Rope for Heart donations until next Wednesday, February 13th.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
