Today we had a guest teacher, Ms. Taylor. We started out morning practicing some math tubs. We worked on making numbers using dominoes, dice and snap cubes. After our morning tubs, we practiced our letter names and sounds as a class. In P.E. with Ms. Nanavaty, we have been learning cup stacking. When we returned from P.E., we continued on with our animal expert research. Today we worked on things that the pets CAN do. We had ideas such as:
Cats can jump.
Dogs can play.
Rabbits can hop.
Lizards can climb.
Snakes can bite.
Birds can lay eggs.
We talked about which of these things could be considered a problem for our classroom. Many of the pets had really fun things for our classroom such as playing and sleeping. At the same time, some pets might bite or scratch. We continue to talk about the ways that this impacts our choice.
