Fabulous Friday

We had a fabulous Friday in kindergarten! We began our day with some Free Friday morning tubs including a couple of board games and Valentine cards. Mrs. Patten then gave us the challenge of practicing our letter sounds both in isolation and in words. We got to write out the sounds we heard on a whiteboard. We are doing great at this. The most exciting part of our day was working in groups to create a home for a pet. We began by looking at a pet book to figure out what they needed. Then we drew our ideas and plan on a whiteboard and finally we used loose parts to create the home. We worked super well together and Mrs. Patten overheard many students using kind words and discussing their plans to ensure that each person's ideas were valued.

Reminders:
Next week is Teacher's Convention. There is NO school for students on Thursday or Friday.  The following Monday, February 18th is Family Day so there is NO school.  Classes resume on Tuesday, February 19th.
