It was another fun day in kindergarten. We began with new morning tubs centered around arrangements of numbers and reading our class poem. After tubs, we learned our letters of the week Hh and Rr. We then practiced printing Hh and drawing items that start with Hh. Mrs. Patten continues to challenge us with writing the sounds we hear in the pictures we draw. We had P.E. with Mrs. Nanavaty where we learned a new movement tag game where we had to change into a galloping horse or a jumping rabbit when we were tagged. Our day finished off with centers which we always enjoy. To end our day, we read the story, If I had a Gryphon, about a boy who wishes for more exotic pets than his hamster, only to realize they are a lot of work. This began our discussion around how much work a classroom pet should be.
How to support my learning at home:
- find words that start with the letter Hh around your house. Ask you child to show you the Hh action we use with the sound
Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
