Terrific Tuesday

Today we came in and did some holiday themed morning tubs. After tub time, Mrs. Patten taught each of us how to play snakes and ladders. We got to play with a partner and practice our subitizing and counting skills. Since we had no P.E. today due to a band performance, we had a quick fresh air break outside. After running around, we can in and created a sparkly snowflake in our visual journals using paper and jewels. It was a great fine motor activity pulling off the small stickers and sticking them into our books. They turned out beautifully.

To end our day, we were lucky to enjoy the Dr. Martha Cohen jazz band performance. They played some Christmas hits and other songs for us to enjoy.

How to extend my learning at home:
- play snakes and ladders or other dice games to practice those subitizing skills over the holidays
- check out some suggestions below for our school physiotherapist you can try over the break.

Reminders:
Tomorrow is the last day of kindergarten before the holidays.  Looking forward to meeting with each of you at conferences.

Please return your report card envelopes back to the school.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
