Thumbs Up Thursday

We had another exciting day in kindergarten. We began our morning with some more math problem solving. Today Mrs. Patten showed us some sorted groups and we had to come up with the sorting rule. Then we worked as a class to make a human number line. We had to problem solve to figure out where each student was located in the line.

After our math work, we went outside for a fresh air break. When we came back in, we watched the book The Three Little Pigs. We were then tasked with using a number of sequencing cards to retell the story using the correct order and language from the book.  We did a great job with this.

How to extend my learning at home
- Practice using language such as first, then, next and last to talk about activities you do at home
- Count items from 1 -10- Practice counting forwards and then backwards

Reminders:
Tomorrow (Friday) AM kindergarten attends.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
