1.) My pattern has 2 colours. What could my pattern be?
2.) My pattern has 3 parts that repeat. What could my pattern be?
Try to solve these together at home. We had lots of great ideas and reminded ourselves about how a pattern has to repeat. We worked to identify each part that repeats in the patterns we built.
After a fresh air break, we came back in and began talking about all the ways that we need homes. We drew a picture of our own house and tomorrow we will look at an animal home and why animals need them as well.
Thank you to our Top Banana, Eldana for sharing her doll with us today. There is no top banana on Fridays.
How to extend my learning at home:
- try out the patterning problems above at home (you can use crayons, lego or anything else you might have)
Reminder:
Tomorrow is AM Kindergarten.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
