Fabulous Friday

We had a fabulous day of learning in kindergarten! To practice our mathematics skills, we did some subitizing with both dice and a 5's frame.  Then we played a game where we spun a wheel, identified a number and then counted up or down using that number.  We did awesome for our first time!

We then continued to finish our work on homes and their purposes.  We watched a video on animal homes and then used paper to tear and rip to create a home for a bird, bear or fish. Each of us shared with Mrs. Patten why the animals would need these homes.
                  

   

Notices
Remembrance Day: There will be a Remembrance Day assembly on Friday, November 9th at 10:15am in the school gym.  As there is no AM kindergarten this day, students are welcome to attend the assembly with their parents. Students who are a part of a service club are welcome to wear their uniforms if they wish.

Veterans Food Drive:
This year the grade 3 students are collecting food for the Veterans Food Drive. Sometimes after war, veterans need some extra help. This is one of the ways we can help them.

We are asking for donation of non-perishable food items such as canned food, soup, noodles, peanut butter, cereat and any extra boxes of Halloween candy.

There will be a donation box in every hallway. We have 13 boxes to fill and we would love to fill each of them.
