Terrific Tuesday

It was another great day in kindergarten. We began our day with our new learning tubs. This week we are working on using the language 'first, next, then', exploring some subitizing activities and doing some lacing patterns. After this work, we practiced our letter of the week, Aa. We found out that lots of students in our class have Aa's in their names. Over the last two days, we have been creating brown bag lunches (out of paper) to represent the ways that we could help another student that doesn't have a lunch. This work continued on from our Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids presentation. Today decorated the front of our bag. We will continue with this work later this week as we decorate bags to give the Brown Bagging. We also continue to talk about other ways to help others including donating items to help with Warm Feet for the Street and simple ways we help each other in the classroom. Here are some things we wanted to share with you today:

We made lunch bags- Eldana
We had gym -Jemika
We had centers- Hannah
We had snack- Ryleigh
We learned the letter Aa- Karis

After this work, we went to P.E. with Ms. Nanavaty.  Today we learned a new tag game called Team Tag.  Ask me about it! Check out some action shots from the game.

Reminders:
-There is NO school for AM kindergarten this Friday, November 30th.
-We continue to collect donations for Warm Feet for the Street.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
