Marvelous Monday

It was another great morning in kindergarten. We had a special presentation from Jessica from Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids. She shared with our class about how the organization helps children in schools. After the presentation, the students shared some of the things that they had learned about the work that they do.

- we can colour bags to give to kids- Karis
- help cook cookies and muffins- Eldana
- helps kids get food like snacks and lunch - Braelyn
- give bags- Mekaeel
- give food and put it in a bag- Adi
- volunteers make food- Ronan
- they have a big kitchen to make the food- Winston
- made a lot of muffins- Presley

We will continue to talk about these ideas over the next little bit. After P.E. with Ms. Nanavaty, we read the story Pigeon Wants A Puppy. We talked about how pigeon thought he needed a puppy but he ended up changing his mind.

It was exciting to see some new big centers in our classroom today.  We got to try out painting, the doll house, the car mat and Taka Taka's.  Ask me which I tried today.

Reminders:
- Please return Warm Feet for the Street forms as soon as possible if you are interested in attending this event with your family.  We are currently collecting donations for the cause.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
