Today we practiced writing the letter Tt and added pictures of words that begin with t. We came up with many ideas such as: turtle, tree, turkey, table and tennis. We are working on adding words to our pictures if we can. As some of the snow was melted off the compound, we enjoyed a fresh air break with the other kindergarten students. When we returned into the school, we read a lovely book called I Call My Hands Gentle, a story about all the wonderful things our hands can do as well as some of the things we do not use our hands for. This links very well to our work around: take care of yourself, take care of each other and take care of this place. As a class, we shared some ideas about the ways that we can use our hands in gentle and kind ways. Then we made our own handprints with paint.
Thanks for our top banana, Hannah, for sharing her stuffy with the class. Tomorrow's top banana is Mekaeel.
Note: Ticket forms came home for the New Brighton Movie Night. This event sells out fast so get your ticket forms back in asap if you are hoping to attend.
AM kindergarten attends tomorrow (Friday). Reminder that we will be going for a walk to the park so dress appropriately.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
