Fun Friday!

Today we enjoyed our first walk to the playground near the pond. We talked about ways to take care of ourselves, each other and this place on our walk!  On our way to the playground, we talked about the signs we saw along the route.  Talk with your child about some of these signs.

When we were at the park, we took pictures of the new friends we had made in kindergarten this year. We will add these to our chance books. It was great fun playing with our friends at the park.

Today we also completed a pattern task that we will be bringing home to share with you to show our understanding of patterns that we have been discussing in class.

We finished up our hand prints to go along with the book, I Call My Hands Gentle.  We shared some great ideas about how we can use our hands.

I can use my hands to:
- pick up my dog and cat- Karis
- hold hands with my teacher- Sadie
- play with my lego- Winston
- cuddle my stuffy- Ryleigh
- hold my stuffies- Kaeson
- play with my toys- Hannah
- hold a pencil- Mekaeel
- play with playdough- Bennett
- hold snacks- Kyle
- draw my mom and dad- Lincoln
- hold my bayblades- Ronan
- make a handprint- Braelyn
- play with my toys- Presley
- play toys with my brother and sister- Tristan
- read books- Quinn
- draw myself- Jemika
- ride a bicycle- Eldana
- high five- Miguel

How to extend my learning at home
- look for and talk about signs around the community
- make your own patterns out of materials around your house
- talk about ways that we use our hands in gentle ways

Reminder: Monday is our library day.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
