We were excited to be back at school for a day of learning. Today we had new morning tubs where we worked on understanding some of the things we need. We got to build homes, dress paper dolls in clothes for the seasons, make a healthy plate of food with playdough and sort needs and wants. We enjoyed these new tasks. After this work, we drew some of our own ideas about the things that we need. Over the week, Mrs. Patten will be working with us to provide us with feedback to improve our drawings (and writing) to communicate our ideas.
Thanks for our top banana, Lincoln for sharing his spiderman toy with us. Tomorrow's top banana is Ronan.
How to extend my learning at home:
- discuss the things we need and want and the difference between the two
- practice tricky zippers and putting on our items in order for the outdoors. As we start to get new outdoor footwear for the changing weather, remember it should be appropriate for outdoor play and the children need to be independent with them (velcro is a great option).
Reminders:
- The movie night is now sold out
- Friday is a PD day so no school for all students.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
