Thumbs Up Thursday

We had a busy day of great learning today in kindergarten. We practiced writing our letter Ii and came up with words that begin with Ii. We considered two of the sounds that Ii makes (long and short). Ask me some of the words I came up with. After this work, we decided to go on a walk around the field to look for sign of fall.  We came up with lots of ideas such as:

- there are leaves on the ground- Lincoln
- it is chilly outside- Winston
- the leaves are changing colour
- I have seen lots of geese flying- Bennett

We then picked out our class tree that we will be watching over the school year in order to follow its changes with the seasons.

When we came back into our classroom, we had our second attempt at sorting needs and wants. We did an awesome job coming up with the things that we truly need to live.  Ask me about some of these at home.

Thanks to our Top Banana, Kyle for sharing with us today. Our next top banana (Monday) will be Lincoln.

Our kindergarten class wants to wish Presley a Happy Birthday!

Reminders: No school for AM kindergarten tomorrow.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
