We started our day off with morning tables where each table's job was to represent their number both pictorially (drawings and tallies) and concretely ( with blocks, teddy bears, and dominos).
We worked hard and showed Ms.Taylor lots of different ways to represent 6, 7, 9 and 10.
We had an extra music session with Ms. Lysak and all the other kindergarteners to practice for the celebration of learning. We practiced in the gym - it was fun. We are getting better and better and are so excited to show you next week :)
Right after music we went outside to have gym on the field. Ask me what we did with Ms. Nanavaty today.
Today Ms. Taylor gave us a math problem to solve. She started by showing us a picture of three bears, a blue one, a red one and a green one. Then she asked, how many different ways could the bears walk in a line if they kept changing who was first, next and last. We were given three bears and had to find at least 3 combinations and draw them in our books. Ms. Taylor was pretty impressed with our problem solving.
Center time was fun because we have new centers - ask me about what is different in the classroom today.
Kind regards,
Ms.Taylor
