Thumbs up Thursday

Another busy day in kindergarten!

Today students worked on representing number and showing concretely and pictorally. Students were challenged to find a domino to represent a number. The drew the domino dots and then shared the number pair. Students then found the corresponding number of blocks in two colours and drew them. A great challenge! Some of us had a harder time with making the block pairings but we all kept trying and were persistent in our learning!

We also listened to two books that talked about ideas of what to be when you grow up. After we listened to the books,  we talked about the ideas that were in the books (hair dresser, astronaut, inventor and teacher) and what they were. Then we all had a chance to share with Ms. Taylor what we want to be when we grow up.

Hannah – princess
Ryleigh – bus driver
Adi- race car driver
Kaeson – police officer
Kyle- Karate man
