Thumbs Up Thursday

Today we began our day in music with all the other kindergarten students so we could practice our special song! When we returned from music, Mrs. Patten told us that we were going to share some of our learning about the pet we are an expert in through an art piece. To begin, we listened to the book, What do you do with a Tail Like This? by Steve Jenkins. In the book, Steve Jenkins uses paper to create animals and their different parts.

Using this technique, we created the pet we are studying out of paper and then used environmental print to help us label some the of the parts we have been learning about. We will continue to document some of our learning to help us decide on which pets would be best for the classroom.

After snack and centers, Mr. Stockton came to our classroom. We practiced our story and heard the end of his own story. It was a funny ending!

Reminders:
There is NO school tomorrow, Friday, March 1st.
Please return the blue Celebration of Learning forms ASAP if you haven't done so already.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
