Thumbs Up Thursday

We had a busy day in kindergarten. We began our day by looking at how to represent the number 2. We talked about how the number 2 can be shown in a number of ways and often means 1 and 1. Ask me to show you my number 2 magic trick with my hands.

After our fresh air break, we came back in and worked on the letter Ee. After we practiced printing the letter Ee, we did a guided drawing of an elephant. We are getting better at these guided drawings and are learning that sometimes our drawings don't look exactly like we expect but that is okay.

We continued to enjoy our new centers, lemonade stand, babies and blocks.

How to extend my learning at home:
- on your weekend, look for things that come in twos
- find the letter Oo and Ee in books that you read together.

Reminders:
Please remember to check for our new top banana information in your child's backpack. The dates for each child are attached.  Top banana will start on Monday, January 14th. Our top banana will be Eldana.

There is no school for AM kindergarten tomorrow.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
