Terrific Tuesday

It was another terrific day! Today we spent more time looking at animals that would make good pets. We cut out pictures of some animals and then sorted by which would make good pets and which would make poor pets. We started to talk about the different groups and realized that the poor pets were actually mostly wild animals. This led us to have the conversation about the difference between wild animals and pets. We came up with some great ideas and will continue this work throughout the week.

Mr. Stockton came to visit our class today. We told him about our story ideas and how most of our stories were about animals. We began to think about a story about pets and animals. Mr. Stockton explained to us how a story was like a rollercoaster. All of it is fun but it usually starts off a little slow until it finally finishes off with something really fun! He has asked us to think about the best and worst pets we can think of to start gathering ideas for our stories.

A note on library: We have been making our way to library this week but not all students have had a chance to take out a book. By the end of the week all students will have a book that have brought their book back.

How to support my child's learning at home:
- Talk about the following pictures. Which would be good pets and which would be poor pets? What are your reasons?
- Talk about your worst and best ideas for pets?

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
