Wintery Wednesday

Today we continued our conversations around winter and the changes we make during the winter season. We read a story called SNOW where a boy really wanted to get out and enjoy the snow. We talked about the background that the illustrator drew in order to help us understand what was happening in the story. We then discussed how we know it is winter on our street.  We had lots of ideas such as snow, snowflakes, snowmen, shovels, Christmas lights and decorations. Using paper, we cut out a winter street scene to show our ideas. We will be adding some painted snow.

We have been practicing our scenes during morning tubs as well. The students are working on their fine motor skills by using playdough to create a scene.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
