Marvelous Monday

It was another great Monday in kindergarten. Today we began with new learning tubs. We continue to work on subitizing numbers and building our fine motor skills. Today we worked on the letter Gg, which was fun to do the action to since it is like a gurgling drain. After practicing our printing, we did a guided drawing of a gopher. Using our drawing rubric, we added background and context to the drawing to show what a gopher does to keep warm in the winter. We also listened to the book the Mitten Tree. In the story, a kind grandmother helps out some children in the winter.  Ask me about what the grandmother does to help the kids.

How to extend my learning at home:
- come up with words that start with the letter Gg
- practicing subitizing by playing a dice game as a family

Reminders:
Conferences will take place next Thursday, December 20th and Friday, December 21st.  There is no school for kindergarten students on those days. Conference booking begins this Thursday, December 14th at 4:00pm. Please sign up for a conference on your mycbe account.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
