Snowy Tuesday

What a snowy day!  After we unbundled, we began our day by talking about patterns.  We discussed different types of patterns such as colour, shape, sound and size patterns.  We then took a chance to make our own pattern in our chance books.

Continuing our discussion about how we are special and unique, we read the book The Best Part of Me. We talked about the important parts of our body and why they help us.  Each of us chose our own best part that we are going to talk about and draw tomorrow.

Thanks for our top Banana, Karis for sharing Mac the Mouse with us today.  Tomorrow's top banana is Winston.

Scholastic books orders came home today.  They are due on Tuesday, October 9th.
Picture day notices also came home.  Our individual picture day will be on Wednesday, October 17th. So remember to dress your best.

How can I extend my learning at home?
- Look for different types of patterns around your house
- Discuss how each of your families members is special and unique
- Practice those tricky zippers and dressing for the cold.  Remember snow pants first and mittens last.

Stay warm,
Mrs. Patten
