Wonderful Wednesday

We had a busy day today! We began our day discussing what it means to be brave.  One definition we came up with was- taking a chance even though you are scared.  We talked about times when we have been brave. We then talked about Terry Fox and how he was a brave man even though he was scared of what might happen when he tried to run across Canada.  Talk with your child tonight about times when we are brave.

We also continued to take a chance to draw ourselves.  Today to create our body parts, we used a variety of materials including snap cubes, pipe cleaners, shapes and loose parts.  It was great to see all the different ways we tried to incorporate the materials we had.

Some other events in kindergarten today were...

We went to music and did freeze dance- Lincoln
We had snack- Kaeson
We had a fire drill- Karis (We did have a whole school fire drill this morning.  The students did great.)
We built ourselves out of snap cubes - Owin

We also celebrated Sadie's birthday today.  Happy 5th birthday Sadie.

Reminder that Friday is our Terry Fox Run.  We will be collecting Toonies for Terry through the week.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
