Today we had lots of fun being creative! Ms. Taylor had lots of different shapes cut out for us - stars, circles, rectangles, flower, tags, half circles, triangles and squares -we had to pick three. It was hard to choose just three! Our job was to use the shapes to make them into something different. We had to imagine the shapes were something else or what they could be used for. Lots of us thought they were perfect to make people, some of us made houses, and others made trees and flowers, and some us even made volcanoes and watermelon. So many fantastic ideas!
Some reflections from the students on their job today:
We used our imagination.
We were creative. Really creative – used our imagination to turn shapes into different things.
We used shapes and made them something different.
We also were able to go outside and play with all our kindergarten friends today!
The new centers are still very popular and we are anxiously waiting to have a turn at all the new ones.
We continue to practice all our kindergarten expectations and showed Ms. Taylor how well we could work during morning tubs today! We were all on task and keeping our volume not too loud.
Last reminder that if you would like to order a yearbook tomorrow is the last day. You can order through the office or you may send $30 with your child to school tomorrow with the form sent home yesterday. Cheques are made out to New Brighton School.
Kind Regards,
Ms. Taylor
