Thumbs up Thursday

Another busy day in kindergarten.

We finished up some projects, had a visit from the principal and assistant principal of the day, and had some special visitors.

The assistant principal of the day happened to be from our class. Bennett did an excellent job in Mrs.Patten's role - and was an awesome emcee at our short assembly this morning.

We finished our fish art project from last week by adding some detail to the 'fish tank' with some chalk pastels.

Our special visitors were Constable Kerri and Constable Gemma. They came to share a little bit about being a community helper.  We learned how to recognize a police office and who the safe people are in our lives.  They talked about how their job is mostly about helping people and not so much about chasing bad guys.  They showed us pictures of officers in action as well as read us a story about helping others.

Book orders need to be in by Monday, April 15.
Reminder field trip is next week on Tuesday, April 16 and the student will be here for a FULL day (8:10-3:09) and have NO school on Thursday April 18.

Kind regards,
Ms. Taylor
