Wonderful Wednesday

Today we enjoyed finishing up some tasks prior to Spring Break. As it was our last opportunity to discuss the best pet for our classroom before we got our pet, we took a look at our criteria once again and then used our checklist to decide which pet would be best. We sure have changed many of our opinions since beginning this inquiry in January. Students really understood the criteria we had set for our classroom pet and used this information to make an informed decision about which pet they would like. Each of them were able to offer a valid reason for their suggestion. We then graphed the final choices. Mrs. Patten explained she would take into consideration all the conversations prior to bringing in the class pet after spring break.

A note from Mrs. Patten

It has been a pleasure and a joy to learn alongside each of your children this year. I have enjoyed watching each of them grow and look forward to seeing their continued progress as I pop in for a visit throughout the year. As a reminder, Ms. Taylor will be taking over as teacher of the class beginning April 1st.  Ms. Taylor will be joining me at parent-teacher conferences Thursday and Friday (March 21st and 22nd) to meet each of you. She is eager and excited to get to know your students and families. Thank you again for all your support throughout the school year.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten

Reminders:
Parent teacher conferences are tomorrow and Friday (March 21st and 22nd). There is NO school for Kindergarten.
Spring break will commence on Monday, March 24th. Classes resume on Monday, April 1st.

The class is looking for 3 volunteers to join us on a trip to Telus Spark on Tuesday, April 16th. This will be a full day field trip so we would require you from 8:10-3:10 that day. Please email Mrs. Patten if you are available to volunteer. An up-to-date security clearance is required to volunteer.
