Today was an exciting and unique day! Our kindergarten class got to meet our Artist in Residence, Mr. Stockton. He shared with us an exciting oral story through both words and the use of his harp. It was very entertaining and we enjoyed joining in with parts of the story. We are looking forward to working with Mr. Stockton during this term to create our own kindergarten oral story.
Since Mr. Stockton was presenting in our classroom, we worked with the other kindergarten classes on our letter Bb and drew a bear to practice our guided drawing skills. We added other Bb words to our drawing such as a bee, balloon and bowtie. To finish off our day, we had P.E. with Ms. Nanavaty where we practiced our juggling skills with scarves and beanbags.
We also celebrated Kaeson's birthday as he turned 5 this past weekend.
How to extend my learning at home:
- Ask me about my favourite part about Mr. Stockton's story was
Reminders:
- This round of top banana has started. Please remember to send back the pet sheets so your child can share their ideas for a favourite pet. Our top banana tomorrow is Quinn.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
