Terrific Tuesday

We continued our Tuesday by beginning with our morning tubs.  This week we are working on sorting food by looking for healthy choices, subitizing with dice, puzzles of community helpers and practicing our colouring skills.  Ask me which one I have enjoyed so far. We also explored our letter of the Jj by learning the Jj action and song as well as brainstorming some Jj words.

Then we worked more on our home drawings after Mrs. Patten had given us some feedback on our drawings. Together we created a colouring rubric to discuss what great kindergarten colouring looks like. Using this rubric as a guide, we began to add colour to our homes as well.

In P.E. today we played a game of magic rock and learned a new game called Mirror Tag.  We enjoyed moving our bodies and being active.

Thank you to our top banana, Adi for sharing his Star Wars book with the class. Tomorrow's top banana is Presley.

How to extend my learning at home:
- Talk about different items in your home and what they are used for
- Go on a Jj walk and try to find items that start with the letter Jj.

Reminders:
The Remembrance Day Assembly is on Friday, November 9 at 10:15am.  As there is no AM kindergarten that morning, students are welcome to attend with a parent.

Photo Retakes and class photos are this Thursday, November 8th.  Proofs came home yesterday with your child.

Kind regards,
Mrs. Patten
